The double valve groups control technology of hybrid multi-terminal UHVDC transmission system is studied in this paper. Firstly, the reason for the imbalance of the two valve groups is analyzed and the valve group equalization control strategy is designed. Revising the power setting value of the two valve groups due to the voltage deviation can effectively improve the equalization of the series double valve group. Next, the valve group input and exit control strategy of the hybrid multi-terminal UHVDC transmission system is proposed, including the timing control, the change of the control strategies of each valve group, and the cooperation in multiple stations. The principles of the valve group input and exit are given. Finally, a simulation model is established in PSCAD to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed control strategies.
