Characteristics of Small Capacity Subcritical Pressure Ultra-high Temperature Blast Furnace Gas Boiler

全文录用
As a by-product in steelmaking process, blast-furnace gas has some features such as low calorific value, high ash content which has a negative effect on both human health and the environment if the toxic contents are directly discharged into the atmosphere. The blast furnace itself has a very inefficient process (unburned carbon). Direct burning of the blast-furnace gas will bring about energy waste and excess carbon emissions. This can be harnessed by the efficient processes employed by power companies. Using the blast-furnace gas for electricity generation can produce a more efficient usage of an existing process and reduce the total energy consumption. Based on the fuel gas output, the requirement for a smaller unit size and capacity would be ideal which can achieve a better unit efficiency and reduce pollution. 300MW is now the lowest capacity of domestic subcritical-pressure units whose main steam temperature and reheat steam outlet temperature are both 540℃. Ultra high temperature boiler technology under subcritical pressure and extremely low capacity is discussed in this paper including solving the problems in the design process and increasing the main steam temperature to 571℃ and the reheat steam outlet temperature to 569℃ which both upgrade the unit thermal efficiency and allow technical progress.
