The study shows that the relatively high content of organic pollutants in landfill leachate is nicotine. Once it enters the soil and water body, it will destroy the ecological balance. At present, the commonly used treatment method in China is to lay anti-seepage cushion. Among them, bentonite is a kind of impermeable material commonly used in impermeable cushion. In this paper, nicotine is used as adsorbent, natriure-based bentonite as adsorbent, and adsorption test is carried out:(1) The same concentration of nicotine solution is added to the same amount of sodium bentonite dried at room temperature to monitor the adsorption. Draw the concentration-time(C-t) curve to obtain the adsorption equilibrium time T; (2) Compile nicotine solutions with different concentration gradients, add equal amounts of dried sodium bentonite at room temperature, adsorption time is T, the adsorption amount is monitored, and the concentration-time(C-t) curve is drawn to obtain the adsorption equilibrium concentration C; (3) The soil samples before and after adsorption were observed at the SEM to analyze the differences between the apparent porosity and the macroscopic porosity. The adsorption mechanism of nicotine in bentonite was analyzed.
