The acquisition of the target characteristics of stealth aircraft plays an important role in the development of anti-stealth weapons and equipment in various countries. For non-cooperative stealth targets, the stealth coating is widely used on the stealth aircraft surface, and it is difficult to construct the electromagnetic target model in the absence of unknown electromagnetic properties of the stealth material. In this work, based on the coated plate specimens, the reflectance approximation method is used to construct the scaled model. The RCS value of the scaled model can maintain good consistency with the original sample. Based on the diversity of the scaled model, the scattering characteristics of each scaled model is nearly the same, the concept of the equivalent structure of the stealth coating is proposed, and the corresponding materials are extended to several other typical samples (coated slit plate, coated dihedral plate) and verified respectively. The research method in this work has a driving role for the accurate acquisition of the characteristics of non-cooperative stealth targets.
