The biochar seems to be beneficial to the cracking of large ring polyaromatic tar compounds. The experiment inquired into in-situ sawdust catalytic pyrolysis circularly with the own sawdust char was carried out in the fixed bed reactor. The sawdust char was analyzed by TGA, SEM and XRD as well the outcomes were performed by GC and GC/MS. The results show that the sawdust char can promote the pyrolysis of the sawdust itself. The optimal ratio about the sawdust and the sawdust char is 3:2 which can increase 24% mmol H2 from the sawdust per gram. This in-situ catalytic pyrolysis circularly may be heuristic to the industrial engineering about the transformation of the biomass energy.
