The Kalina cycle is an innovative thermodynamic cycle which is a very important technology that can be used to increase the efficiency of electricity generation using low and medium energy sources. The objective of this work is to optimize the utilization of the Kalina cycle in the case where the inlet temperature of the hot fluid in the generator is equal to 200°C and the temperature of the cold fluid used in the condenser is equal to 30°C. Therefore, a thermodynamic and exergetic studies were realized. Also, the sizing of the different heat exchangers existed in the cycle was carried out using the Exchanger Design and Rating (EDR) software. We found the maximum energy efficiency given by this cycle is equal to 17.96% and the maximum exergy efficiency is equal to 74%.
