Research Progress on Mechanism of Continuous Sliding Deformation of Slow-Inclined Slope

Landslides are a common geological hazard in mountain areas. According to engineering geology and the natural environment, landslides can be classified from different perspectives. From the analysis of the mechanism of rock deformation and failure, the landslide is the instability failure of the slope system. In China's Sichuan Basin and its surrounding areas, Wanzhou in the middle part of the Three Gorges Reservoir, Chongqing and the Loess Plateau, there are gentle slopes and landslides. The slip angles of these landslides are often larger than those of the sliding surface, and it is theoretically difficult for landslides to occur. There will also be large-scale gentle-descent landslides. In this type of landslide deformation and failure, creep slip instability is the most common. The mechanism of formation and change laws has been widely concerned by scholars at home and abroad. This paper makes a detailed summary of the research progress on the mechanism of continuous slip deformation of the open-pit slope, and plays an instructive role for the continuous slip phenomenon of the open-pit slope.
