The lack of space oxygen concentration is the main factor affecting the health and safety of miners. Insufficient oxygen concentration can cause a lack of awareness of the human body, leading to mistakes in behavior and further causing safety accidents. This paper designs experiments on the relationship between oxygen concentration and human awareness behavior in a confined space. Set five groups of oxygen concentration gradients of 15.7%-16%, 16%-17%, 17%-18%, 18%-19%, 19%-20.6%. Monitoring of awareness behavior data such as human blink frequency, respiratory frequency, lens temperature, and physiological data such as photoplethysmography (PPG), heart rate, and blood pressure under different oxygen concentrations. Oxygen concentration was found to have a significant effect on the subconscious behavior of the human body. When the oxygen concentration was lower than 17%, the frequency of subconscious eye blinking and respiratory frequency increased significantly (p<0.001). Further analysis of the conduction period of PPG and heart rate found that with the decrease of oxygen concentration, the conduction period of PPG increases significantly and the heart rate increases. A better understanding of the relationship between confined space oxygen concentration and human consciousness behavior provides a reliable basis for coal mine safety management.
