The Hamburg University of Applied Sciences and the Audio Engineering Society Hamburg Student Section are pleased to announce the third installment of klingt gut! International Symposium on Sound at the Arts and Media Campus in Hamburg.
For three days, international artists and scientists will present their work in the fields of sound design, sound art, electro-acoustic music, and forward-looking audio technologies.
Participants will enjoy a series of informative lectures, hands-on workshops, and interactive panel discussions as well as cutting edge installations and performances at Germany’s most state-of-the-art media campus.
Topics of interest for Scientific Papers include, but are not limited to:
Sound Design for Film and Videogames
Functional Sounds, Audio Branding and Semantic Audio
Soundscapes, Sound Art, Electro-Acoustic Music, Musique Concrète
3D / 360° Audio Technologies
Designing Sound for Interactive and Immersive Media
Sound Synthesis
Please submit before January 31 a title, a 60- to 120-word abstract, and 500- to 750-word précis of the proposed paper.
Abstract and précis will be reviewed by at least two experts in the field. After acceptance of the proposal, the full paper submission is requested before April 30. Accepted papers will be published in the klingt gut! Proceedings. Papers are limited to 10 pages, the lectures will be limited to 20 minutes. Conference language is English.
Accepted contributors must attend the Symposium in person. We offer free entrance to the whole Symposium for all accepted Contributors. As an artistic/scientific conference, we cannot cover financial expenses.
