活动简介

The IEEE International Conference on Safety, Security, and Rescue Robotics (SSRR) is an international forum for furthering the study of safety, security and rescue robotics as well as solutions necessary for fielding robots and sensor systems across a variety of application areas. This symposium welcomes submissions on the theory and practice of robotics and automation for all types of safety, security and rescue applications such as disaster response, mitigation and recovery; rapid and secure inspection of critical infrastructure; detection of chemical, biological and radiological risks, and operations in these dangerous sites.

The 2019 IEEE International Symposium on Safety, Security, and Rescue Robotics (SSRR2019, cf. https://ssrr2019.org/) is an international forum for furthering the study of key issues underpinning the research of safety, security and rescue robotics as well as solutions necessary for the fielding of robots and sensor systems across a variety of challenging application areas. This year it will be hosted at the Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg, Germany on September 2-4,2019 and is supported by the Bavarian Firefighter School Würzburg. The seventeenth symposium in the series welcomes submissions of papers, late-breaking-reports, and robot demonstrations on the theory and practice of robotics and automation for all types of safety, security, and rescue applications such as disaster response, mitigation and recovery; rapid and secure inspection of critical infrastructure; detection of chemical, biological and radiological risks, and operations in these dangerous sites. The symposium will create a unique opportunity for development and exchange of research ideas and technical solutions. We welcome both theory and practice papers.

征稿范围

Topics for papers, late breaking reports, and robot demonstrations, include:

  • Autonomous search and rescue
  • Casualty assessment, care and extraction
  • Communications for reliable data transfer
  • Detection and mitigation of chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive (CBRNE) events
  • Humanitarian applications
  • Human-robot interaction and interfaces
  • Serious gamin for training rescue equipment operators
  • Inspection of critical infrastructure
  • Intelligent behaviors to improve robot performance and survivability
  • Manipulation
  • Multi-agent coordination
  • Novel sensors and mechanisms
  • Nuclear decommissioning
  • Perception for navigation, hazard detection, and victim identification
  • Robotics and Automation for safety and security
  • Safety standards for robots and systems
  • SLAM in complex and/or extreme environments
  • Telemedicine
  • ELS (ethical, legal, societal) issues of deploying SSRR

SSRR encourages submissions of novel and innovative papers focused on traditional and emerging areas and applications in safety, security, and rescue robotics.

Papers formatting and submission instructions are available on the submissions page. We accept video submissions as supplementary uploads to support contributed papers (maximum 20 MB). Accepted papers will be presented at the conference as oral presentations and included in the conference proceedings available on the IEEE Xplore digital library.

Robot Demonstrations are welcome and will be incorporated into the program if accepted. Please submit a one page description of how your demonstration will be compelling for safety, security, or rescue robot developers and users to see, along with images and a video of the demonstration (MPEG file s up to 20 MB).No-show papers will not be included in IEEE Xplore and no-show late-breaking-reports will be excluded from the conference program.

All accepted papers and late breaking reports must pay registration and authors must be present the paper in person at the conference for it to be included in the proceedings.
