Workshop on “The Rise of China and Implications for Other Countries” July 6-7 2018. Chongqing, China To celebrate the 40th anniversary of China’s reforms and opening-up, the captioned workshop will be jointly organized by the School of Economics, Chongqing Technology and Business University and Institute for World Economy (A Key Research Base designated by China’s Ministry of Education), Fudan University. Papers on any aspect of the Chinese economy or on the impacts and implications of China’s rise are welcome. Submissions must be written in English and between 5000-8000 words (all inclusive). Preferences will be given to papers using good data and solid methodology plus evidence-based policy suggestions. Up to 16 papers will be selected for presentation at the workshop. A subset of these papers will be considered for publication in a special issue of the Journal of the Asia Pacific Economy. There is no registration fee and one author of each accepted paper will be provided with economy-class flight or train tickets (return) as well as meals and hotels during the workshop.
