In recent years, the Internet of Things (IoT) and Big Data have grown at an exponential pace.When coupled with the rise of wearable devices, the market is now ripe for use of miniature, wearable biosensors to personalize eHealth and mHealth services. These types of services will significantly increase availability and accessibility of health information, and allow patients to personalize and tailor how their health is managed and maintained. This innovation is not without its drawbacks. Many challenges related to consistency, safety, and reliability remain. In order to succeed in this technology, multidisciplinary research is needed, in addition to collaboration between academia and industry. This workshop will bring researchers and industrial partners together to examine the synergies of signal, data, and information processing.

This workshop will invite academia and industry to submit high-quality, original research on novel advances in (but not limited to) the following: 

  • 1. Use of IOT in medical and healthcare applications
  • 2. Novel signal processing methods for wearable and implantable biosensors
  • 3. Big-data analytics in healthcare and wearable devices
  • 4. Machine learning, scalable machine learning, and deep learning algorithms for IoT
  • 5. Novel devices, circuits, and architectural support for healthcare-aware IoT
  • 6. Cloud-based eHealth solutions
  • 7. Fog computing/edge clouds for healthcare and cloud resource allocation and monitoring
  • 8. Privacy and security tactics for large-scale analytics
  • 9. Case studies of successful eHealth systems (telemedicine applications, health management applications, etc.)
